What I do as a Finance consultantMy varied experience has helped me focus on some key finance drivers. Goals must be clearly stated and realised in a simple, effective and timely manner. My financing background is principally that of a borrower with a substantial track record of major done-deals, I want to see a sustainable outcome, structured for risk and optimised for value. Management of the stakeholders is crucial to success and cost minimisation, and I know where time and cost can be saved. I take a business wide view, assessing risk, structuring and assisting in value maximisation. Amongst my done deals, there have been major international multi-partner projects, I've worked in these from conception to repayment, dealing with major internal and external changes. I'm equally comfortable with strategy and detail, bringing my knowledge, expertise and flair to good effect at all stages of the project. I've worked with most of the world's finance instituitions, international banks and advisors. But facts and figures are not enough for a successful implementation. We often leave out the human element who then struggle when the consultants have left. I follow on with training and coach-mentoring to help finance staff adjust to the next world and to function successfully. This is a critical factor in the overall success of a major change.
